While offering a standard line of MIRAGE™ products, SBIR is continuously developing the products of the future and increasing its capabilities to meet the demands posed by evolving threats and the ever-advancing sensor capabilities. In response, SBIR has produced specialty MIRAGE™ products to meet unique customer requirements. Those requirements include cryogenic operating environments and higher temperatures, frame rates and numbers of pixels.
SBIR has developed MIRAGE™-CR1, a 512 x 512 Infrared Scene Projector system where the emitter arrays can be placed in cryogenic chambers and cooled to less than 40 K. SBIR is currently developing a 1024 x 1024 array version that will operate in cryogenic chambers to 40 K.1
For wide field of view applications, SBIR developed MIRAGE™-WF1, a 1536 x 768 array IRSP system.
In the coming years, SBIR will be developing high temperature systems with apparent temperatures in excess of 2,000 K, a frame rate of 500 Hz, sub-frame rates of 1,000 Hz and an array size of 1024 x 1024. In the more distant future those high temperature emitters will be scaled to 2048 x 2048 and ultimately to 4096 x 4096 arrays.
