Director of Business Development   Top

Responsibilities:
Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. has the need to fill a senior position on its management team, Director of Business Development, with a primary focus on the Dynamic Scene Projection (DSP) Product area. This position will report directly to the General Manager and will be primarily accountable for technical sales and strategic business development, working to expand the DSP market where the company's product line defines the leading edge of available technology. Overseeing the day-to-day execution of the Dynamic Scene Projection (DSP) Product business segment is also among the key responsibilities of this position This position combines, as few others do, the possibility of being engaged in a highly valued leadership role within a very focused and successful management team in the endless pursuit of its Mission: “To Dominate the E-O Test Equipment Market by teaming with our customers and delivering innovative solutions created by our talented and dedicated team in an exciting and rewarding environment".

Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings together a background in technology, solid and effective consultative technical sales, strategic customer and business development, and sound business judgment. The focal point of his or her technical background is the electro-optics field, and his or her sales experience should include a solid track record with major defense and aerospace prime contactors as well as the U.S. Government. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys the opportunity to be a part of an entrepreneurial management team that is focused on results. Certain export licensing requirements may restrict employment at SBIR based upon the candidate's work authorization/immigration status.

Software Engineer   Top

Responsibilities:
Join SBIR’s Software Team! As a member of the software development group, you will be applying the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to design world class Electro-Optical Test Systems. Responsibilities include: • Troubleshooting new embedded system designs and PC-based test application programs • Evaluating impact of hardware on software performance and recommending changes to our team of hardware designers • Embedded software development and support • Development of test equipment for visible & IR sensor systems and laser range finders /designators.

Requirements:
Real-time Embedded Systems development (in C) with Embedded Linux, microcontroller development, motion control and other hardware interfacing experience desired. Experience with PC application development (C++ , C#), graphics processing, scientific instrumentation, and camera interfacing desired. BS/CS/CE with 5+ years experience. EEO/AA/H/V

Sr. Pricing/Cost Specialist   Top

Responsibilities:
SBIR has an immediate need for a Sr. Pricing/Cost Specialist who will be responsible for the management and preparation of pricing and/or cost proposals. This position will require working in a team environment supporting and coordinating with Sales, Contracts, Finance, Engineering, Operations and Senior Management. Responsibilities include: definition of proposal structure, development of cost estimates, contract and price negotiations, budget/cost tracking, and coordination of the technical disciplines involved in pricing proposals and cost estimate teams.

Requirements:
BA/BS with 5-10 years of pricing/proposal experience with both FFP and CPFF contracts. Knowledge of FARS, DFARS, CAS and Government Accounting is critical.
